‘Queer Love’ Ep 8: Sam Is Entitled to Financial Compensation

Mildred and Tiff are trying to have a romantic beach date while Mildred’s new hyperactive puppy darts around them. Sweet Shylo is also there (not Sam’s favorite). It’s a little unnerving these two are now raising a puppy. What about this experience made them think they should take care of a living thing together?

Sam and Aussie are getting a drink with Sam’s friend Sharmaine. Sam proudly announces she finally learned to speak up. She says she has to stop treating Aussie like a baby and trust that she can be an adult. Then she starts talking about how Aussie’s energy shifts when she gets upset or annoyed and that pisses Aussie off.

Sharmaine visibly regrets meeting up with them. I thought these two were good! But Aussie keeps saying Sam’s feelings are “bullshit” and that’s when Sharmaine steps in and defends her friend. Then Aussie shuts down and storms out of the bar. Sam’s like “I’m not following that bitch.” So Sharmaine grabs her drink and reluctnatly follows Aussie to the parking lot.

Aussie’s crying on the curb about not being good enough for Sam, and about how Sam never sees her side of things and how it takes her back to her childhood. This is above Sharmaine’s pay grade. Then Aussie starts screaming “I fucking didn’t do shit!” over and over. She’s now having a full-blown breakdown…
