Shailene Woodley is going to play famous lesbian author Patricia Highsmith — mother of Carol — in the upcoming biopic The Murderous Mrs. Highsmith. The film will reimagine Highsmith’s “scandal-ridden” life as a horror, focusing on the time before she wrote her most popular work, The Talented Mr Ripley — aka the murderous lesbian era.

The Murderous Mrs. Highsmith will delve into two of the author’s “doomed” relationships, which partly inspired Ripley, and Highsmith’s “fascination for gruesome murders,” and how “her tumultuous love life influenced her persona.” Cara Delevingne and Noémie Merlant (Portrait of a Lady on Fire) will play her lesbian lovers, competing for this evil little soft butch’s black heart.

Highsmith and Kathryn started an affair in the late 1940s, traveling around Italy together for three weeks.

Kathryn was married to Dennis Cohen, founder of Cresset Press, who would go on to publish Highsmith’s Strangers on a Train, The Blunderer, and The Talented Mr Ripley. So she cucked you and you published her…
