‘And Just Like That’ S2 Ep7: Miranda’s First Big Gay Valentine’s Day

Carrie is in bed with her laptop, wearing a sweatshirt with pearls obviously, when she gets an email from Aidan, who she sent a risky message to the night before. She immediately shuts her computer and grips her heart dramatically before getting the courage to read it. She tells Charlotte and Miranda over lunch that the email said he was coming to town and wanted to get dinner Thursday. She’s acting all casual about it but we know she’s dying inside.

Charlotte’s PUMPED because Thursday is Valentine’s Day and that is very important to teenagers and people like Charlotte. Carrie thinks it’s a coincidence he asked her out on Valentine’s Day. Charlotte argues that means he at least doesn’t have a girlfriend (who would presumably be reminding him of the approaching Valentine’s Day). This is actually a good point. Sometimes friends like Charlotte are important.

Carrie admits with a smile that she knew it was Valentine’s Day when she replied “yes” to Aidan. Okay so we’re just casually gaslighting Charlotte over lunch then??? Unfazed, Charlotte proceeds to ask Miranda, who was famously dumped by the Che Diaz in the last episode, what she’s doing for Valentine’s Day. Miranda gives her this look:
